Harvest Moon started in 2007 with a few barn dances and some pumpkins for sale by the highway. Nearly twenty years later it’s a full-scale fall adventure farm in Burt County, and it likes big ideas.
The lineup reads like a small fairground: zip lines, pedal go-karts and adult monster trikes (so parents aren’t stuck holding coats), a sprawling corn maze, an extra-large corn pit, jumping pillows, barn slides, a Sports Barn, rail rollers, and a mini grain train that hauls kids past the animal pens — including a scene-stealing llama. A few years in they built themselves a tiny Old West town called Deadwood, visible from the weekend train ride. When the sun drops, reserve a fire pit for four hours (wood included) and end the day at the Rusty Bucket treat stop.
Admission covers the activities, with concessions the only extra — no counting tickets. The pumpkin prices stay reasonable, and off-season the property works as a wedding venue. About an hour northwest of Omaha, worth the drive.
