Families out west don’t have as many patch choices nearby, which makes Homestead Pumpkin Patch a welcome stop. This North Platte farm opens weekends from mid-September through late October with the full spread: a huge corn maze, hayrack rides, slides, swings, a jumping cushion, human foosball, barrel vehicles — and corn cannons, which are exactly as fun as they sound.
The pumpkin field carries a wide variety in shapes, sizes, and colors. Admission covers the activities, but you can also swing by just for pumpkins or separately — handy if you want to grab a pumpkin on a Friday and come back for the maze on Saturday. Fire pits round out the evening when the Plains cool down. It’s listed on Visit Nebraska, and it’s an easy fall detour off I-80.
