When Josh Kadavy decided to chase a dream and start JK’s on his farm north of Lincoln, he set the bar at “affordable fall memories for the whole family” — and it stayed there. Admission is one of the lowest around, and a pumpkin of any size is included with every ticket. Kids too little to want a pumpkin get in free.
It’s smaller than Vala’s, more typical of most Nebraska patches, and geared squarely toward younger families: a corn maze, a corn box (corn kernels instead of sand, with toy tractors), hay slides, pedal trikes, a bounce house, a hayrack ride, a petting zoo, face painting, and a concessions stand with pumpkin eats and treats. Open Friday through Sunday, 10 to 7, from the third weekend of September through the end of October — about a quarter mile off N. 14th and Bluff Road.
