Want more than just a pumpkin patch? That’s Poppy’s whole pitch, and Norfolk delivers. A boat ride across a pumpkin pond is not something you see every fall — here it joins a 700-foot zipline and a 100-foot super slide in the thrill department.

Smaller kids get their own kingdom: a spaceship play area, dress-up house, jail, tree house, pony rides, and a kiddie train. Animal fans get the duck and chicken barn, a petting zoo, Zachary’s Zoo, a deer farm, and pig races. The mazes come in several styles (corn, hay bale, timber), a half-mile nature walk and a look-out tower give you the lay of the land, and the on-site cafe handles the snack break. After dark, the Haunted Harvest Into the Woods takes over. Season runs early September through November 1st.
