The Grayhouse Inn started life as a boarding house, and it still has that communal, lived-in warmth — nine rooms, a big lounge for gathering, and a full breakfast every morning, all a block from Fairbury’s historic downtown.
Fairbury rewards walkers: the downtown square, the Stagecoach Mall (a multi-dealer shop, coffee house, and tasting room in the old Hested’s Dime Store), and the town’s brick streets are all an easy stroll. The inn will rent you the whole house if you’re bringing the reunion.
Rates are kind, the Wi-Fi works, and dinner options are close enough that you won’t need the car after you park it.
