ReWild Ranch is a working Sandhills ranch that happens to have one of Nebraska’s most distinctive lodges: nine rooms with private baths on 500 private acres, wide porches with rocking chairs, and no televisions in the rooms on purpose. The Huggins family runs it, Danielle’s the one to call, and the bar stays open until the last person turns in.
Days here are choose-your-own: UTV tours past bison and elk herds, skeet shooting, or nothing at all — the long views do most of the work. Meals are farm-to-table with ranch-raised bison, and at night the Milky Way does what it does in one of the darkest stretches of the continental U.S.
The whole lodge sleeps 30 and rents out for reunions and retreats. Hunters, note the guided bison and elk hunts; everyone else, note the porch.
