Rose Cottage is a 1927 sorority house in Wayne — Arts and Crafts architecture, original light fixtures, antique furniture in every room — bought back by owner Elizabeth King, a Wayne State College alumna who once lived there as a student. Three guest rooms, all heart.
Breakfast is the event: gourmet, served on fine china, the kind of morning that makes you linger. Wayne itself is a classic northeast Nebraska college town, and the cottage sits in a quiet neighborhood an easy walk from the Wayne State campus.
Ideal for parents’ weekends, weddings, and anyone passing through on Highway 35 who’d rather not do the chain-motel thing.
