Star Light Candles & Gifts

Star Light Candles & Gifts started with candles in 2004 and grew into a full Beatrice institution: farm-style home decor, primitive furniture, homemade caramels — and Shirley Mae’s famous pies from the commercial kitchen. Raisin sour cream pie has its own following.

It’s equal parts gift shop and bakery, which is a combination more stores should attempt. Open Thursday through Saturday; the pies sell out, so go early in the day.
