Benson’s neighborhood brewery sits at 6059 Maple St, in the middle of Omaha’s most characterful commercial strip, and it fits right in. Opened in 2013, it’s built around approachable-but-refined beers — the Blonde Bunny ale is the easy-drinking flagship, and the chai-spiced porter is the one people talk about.
The taproom is cozy, the food menu leans locally sourced and vegan-friendly (unusual for a brewery, welcome for everyone), and the whole operation has a deliberate, unhurried feel. This isn’t a production brewery with a taproom attached; it’s a neighborhood joint that happens to brew.
One of the best rooms in Omaha for a quiet pint and a long conversation.
