The setting is unreal: a 5,000-square-foot sandstone cavern — Robber’s Cave, the legendary outlaw hideout south of downtown Lincoln — with a brewery inside it. Founder Brian Podwinski, a former Cornhusker Marching Band member, turned a Lincoln legend into one of the state’s most atmospheric taprooms.
The beers are small-batch and experimental, the kind of lineup that changes often and rewards repeat visits. Friday nights before home games, the Robber’s Cave Pep Band plays — a detail so perfectly Lincoln it sounds invented. The Jesse James lore is baked into the walls, literally.
If you only visit one Lincoln brewery for the room alone, make it this one. The beer is the bonus.
