Boiler started in the most Boiler way possible: inside the boiler room of the former Grande Manse building, brewing small-batch experimental beers in a space most breweries would use for storage. The name stuck even as the operation outgrew the room.
The South Lincoln taproom on Hidcote Drive is the current home base, with a downtown location at 151 N 8th St keeping the beers close to the Haymarket crowds. The throughline is experimentation — small batches, unusual ingredients, styles that don’t sit still.
For drinkers who want something they haven’t had before, Boiler is Lincoln’s best bet. It’s the brewery equivalent of a chef’s tasting menu: you go to be surprised.
