Flyover was the first brewery in the Panhandle, opening in 2018 — which means it basically invented craft beer culture for the region’s largest city. The aviation theme runs through the names and the decor, a nod to the “flyover state” chip on the shoulder worn proudly.
The Broadway taproom pairs the beer with wood-fired pizza, and the combination has made it downtown Scottsbluff’s default gathering spot. In a part of the state where the nearest brewery used to be hours away, Flyover’s existence changed the map.
The Panhandle beer scene it helped start now includes Papa Moon’s ciders and more — but Flyover was first, and first counts.
