Table Creek is the public golfer’s answer to Nebraska City’s private ArborLinks — and it’s no consolation prize. This Martin Johnson Jr. design opened in 1997 and offers 6,253 yards of genuine variety: two very different nines, with a tough finishing stretch on the front and scoring chances on the back. The 18th is the talk of the course, an uphill par-5 to an elevated green that plays as a true three-shotter for nearly everyone.
The course slopes downhill from south to north, with water and trees coming into play across the flatter southern holes. The clubhouse is a comfortable place to linger, with a restaurant and bar that serve the local golf community well.
It’s a short drive from both Omaha and Lincoln, green fees are reasonable, and tee times are rarely a problem. If you’re doing the Arbor Day Farm and Kimmel Orchard circuit, this is the obvious golf add-on.
