Brother Sebastian’s is Omaha’s great beautiful weirdo: a steakhouse dressed up as a monastery, complete with servers in monks’ robes and a dining room that leans hard into the theme. It should be tacky. Somehow it’s beloved instead.
The food is serious — prime rib is the headliner, the steaks are solid, and the winery side of the operation means the wine list is better than a theme restaurant has any right to offer. Locals treat it as a special-occasion spot with a sense of humor about itself.
It’s out west at 119th and Pacific. Come for a birthday, an anniversary, or just because you want to eat prime rib served by a monk. You’ll remember it, which is more than most restaurants can say.
