Victoria Springs opened on August 12, 1925, to a crowd of 4,500 β back when mineral springs and spa parks were the height of fashion. The spa era is over, but the park kept the bones: a small fishing lake with paddleboat rentals, a ball field, horseshoe pits, big shade trees, and a soothing atmosphere the tourism bureau still describes exactly that way.
The cabins are the sleeper draw: two reservable rustic cabins, open Memorial Day through mid-November, bookable up to a year ahead. Camping is 21 electric pads (20, 30, and 50 amp) plus six basic sites, half reservable β large, level, easy to back into, with a bathhouse and a dump-and-fill station. The campground sits across a bridge from the main park; check on its status after storms, since it washed out once and was rebuilt with FEMA help.
Itβs the third-oldest park in the system and feels like it in the good way β established, settled, unpretentious. Broken Bow is 30 minutes east (the Kinkaider brewery detour is a known move). Open mid-April through mid-November for the park proper, year-round for camping.
