Native 32 is built on aronia berries — the tart, deep-purple superfruit — grown on the Doerneman family’s West Point land. The family opened the acreage to vineyard cultivation in 2016 and debuted the wines in 2019, leaning into blends: Euphoria, the aronia-raspberry, is the pour to try, all sleek bottles and fruity Nebraska character.
The setting is the selling point: a large covered porch overlooking the aronia fields, made for slow afternoons. (Fair warning from visitors: it’s fruit country, so the fruit flies come with the territory — the winery hands out glass covers, which tells you everything about the unpretentious vibe.)
Northeast Nebraska’s most distinctive wine stop — there’s nothing else in the state quite like it.
