The claim is real: the nation’s first combined farm winery and microbrewery, operating from a working farm outside Pawnee City. Estate wines from the farm’s vines; house beers like the Zulu American Pale Ale and the Git-R-Done Golden Lager — the latter a nod to Pawnee City native Larry the Cable Guy.
The tasting room looks out over the land that grows what you’re drinking, which is the whole point of a farm winery. The production area is visible through glass from the tasting room — you can watch the winemaking while you drink the results.
The Cork & Tap House in Lincoln’s FallBrook area pours the same wines and beers closer to the city. But the farm is the experience.
