Jordan and Travis Classen started with three head of cattle and built it into one of the most customer-facing beef operations in central Nebraska. Their Angus spend roughly three-quarters of their lives on native prairie grass before finishing, and every bulk order is dry-aged at least 21 days.
The Mercantile is the draw: a real storefront on 2nd Street in Albion where you can buy beef on Thursdays, order shares with custom cut sheets, and get free delivery within 120 miles of the farm. They also sell raw milk from a single family dairy cow and farm eggs by pre-order. Bonus local color: Jordan got an all-local beef program into the area schools.
