Farm Direct FAQs

What does farm direct mean?

Buying straight from the ranch or farm β€” no middleman. Nebraska’s farm-direct scene covers grass-fed beef, pork, chicken, eggs, produce boxes and CSAs.

Is Nebraska beef really better?

Nebraska finishes more cattle than any other state, and buying a quarter or half directly from a ranch is often cheaper per pound than the grocery store β€” and you know exactly where it came from.

How do I buy a CSA share in Nebraska?

Most CSAs sign up members in late winter for the June–October season. This guide lists working farms with order links and contact info.
