Common Good Farm is entering its 30th season, which in Nebraska local-food years is practically forever. Ruth Chantry and Evrett Lunquist farm 45-plus kinds of produce from seed to harvest, run one of roughly 150 Demeter-certified Biodynamic farms in the country, and keep the whole operation mom-and-pop: custom-milled organic feed, heirloom and open-pollinated seed, soil vitality as the organizing principle.
The CSA is still the heartbeat of the farm, but thereโs also the spring organic plant sale (a Lancaster County ritual), pastured pork, 100-percent grass-fed beef, and eggs. Stocked at Open Harvest and Natural Grocers in Lincoln, and available at the farm gate by arrangement.
