GI Acres is Grand Island’s answer to the classic CSA complaint — the box of vegetables you didn’t choose and don’t want. Chad and Kathy Nabity run it market-style: show up at the farm on pickup day and pick your share from what’s available that week. Don’t like kohlrabi? Leave it. Want extra tomatoes? Take them.
They’ve been at it since 2015 from their home at 4311 W 13th, and they’re evangelists for the model — they want more CSAs in central Nebraska, not fewer competitors. Weekly Monday pickups in season, with a short-season Thursday option.
