The Haymarket Farmers’ Market has owned Saturday mornings in Lincoln since 1985. Every Saturday, May through October, rain or shine, the streets of the historic Haymarket fill with 200-plus vendors — standard market fare (produce, beef, poultry, eggs, baked goods) alongside the odd and wonderful: homemade root beer, egg rolls, wood-fired pizza, Czech kolaches.
Live performers play Iron Horse Park from 9 to 11, and the craft side is serious: jewelry, glassware, baby wear, soaps, furniture, wind chimes. It’s the market that made the Haymarket a Saturday destination in the first place.
