Oak Barn Beef is the rare direct-beef operation with a real front door: a storefront at 706 S. Lincoln St. in West Point, open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday mornings. Behind it are fifth-generation ranchers who DNA-test their cattle for marbling and tenderness before anything goes to the USDA-inspected locker in town.
Quarter, half, and whole shares are the winter tradition (reserve ahead; they’re typically ready in December and January), with individual cuts and beef sticks year-round online. They’ve even added Oak Barn turkey to the lineup. The pitch is disarming — “come meat your farmer” — but the operation behind it is serious: customers in all 50 states.
