Twogood Farm is a working Polk County farm that raises its Angus cattle on grass from birth all the way through butcher — no grain finishing, no shipping calves off to a feedlot somewhere else. In a state where most “local beef” still ends at a feedlot, that closed loop is the whole point.
The family runs rotational grazing, moving cattle to fresh paddocks every few days, and sells whole, half, and quarter shares in the summer when processing opens up. The rest of the year, individual cuts ship straight from the farm — a low-stakes way to taste the difference before you commit to a chest freezer.
Fair warning: farm pickup runs on limited weekly hours (check the site before you drive), and Stromsburg is a small town on purpose. Bring a cooler.
